We recently stayed at Lotte Hotel World in a Family Twin Room, and the reason we chose it came down to one thing: it’s directly connected to Lotte World. With a young child, being able to move from the theme park to the hotel without a car or a subway transfer is a real advantage — and after a full day at the park, having your room just minutes away is even better.

The Biggest Advantage: Direct Access to Lotte World

This is easily the hotel’s strongest selling point for families.

Lotte Hotel World connects directly to Lotte World, and there’s an extra perk for hotel guests: when you buy your Lotte World ticket at the hotel’s front desk, you get access to a private entrance called the Wonder Door. It links the hotel straight into the theme park, so instead of walking the family outside, finding the main gate, and standing in line, you just head downstairs.

Depending on the day’s schedule, hotel guests can also get into Lotte World before regular opening — a genuinely big deal with young kids, who tend to have the most patience early in the morning.

Family Twin Room

We stayed in a Family Twin Room, and it worked well for a family with a young child — two beds is a much easier setup than everyone squeezing into one.

It’s not a room you’d want to spend the whole day in for its own sake. But for a Lotte World trip, that’s not really the point. What you’re paying for is the combination of location, direct park access, and family-friendly facilities — and for us, that convenience was worth it.

You Don’t Have to Leave the Area for Food

The shopping and dining complex surrounding Lotte World is huge, and that matters more than you’d expect with kids.

After hours at the theme park, getting into a taxi to hunt down a restaurant elsewhere in Seoul is the last thing anyone wants. Instead, there’s a wide range of restaurants, cafés, and shops right around the hotel — plenty to do even on a break from the rides.

Easy to Get To

The location in Jamsil is well connected by subway and major roads, so getting there from most parts of Seoul is straightforward. Once you arrive, you can genuinely spend the whole trip within the complex — a big plus if you’re traveling with a stroller or a young child.

The Swimming Pool: Small but Clean and Comfortable

The pool isn’t large, but it’s clean, well maintained, and honestly that’s what I actually wanted after a tiring day at the park. There’s a shallow, heated area for younger kids and a couple of slides as a bonus.

Don’t come expecting a resort-style water park — it isn’t one. But for burning off a bit of leftover theme-park energy, it’s more than enough.

There’s Also a Kids’ Lounge

It’s a small bonus, not a huge kids’ club — toys and a small slide, enough to occupy a child for a while. I wouldn’t book the hotel for the Kids Lounge alone, but it’s genuinely useful for the moment your child announces “I’m bored!” a few hours into the theme park day. 😅

Breakfast: Go Early

This was the one real downside of our stay. Breakfast itself is fine, but timing matters a lot — arrive early and you’re in with barely a wait; get there closer to 8:30–9:00 AM and the line gets long fast.

If your kids are early risers anyway, use it to your advantage. Our tip: go early. It saves the wait and buys you more time at Lotte World afterward.

Is Lotte Hotel World Worth It If You’re Visiting Lotte World?

For us, yes — but the value is really about location and convenience, not the room itself. If Lotte World isn’t the point of your trip, there are plenty of other hotels in Seoul worth considering instead.

But if a Lotte World trip with kids is the plan, the hotel earns its keep. Being able to head back to the room the moment your child is tired, with the Wonder Door making the connection effortless, changes the whole shape of the day.

How We’d Plan a 1-Night Stay

Morning — Get to Lotte World early and take advantage of hotel-guest early access while your kid still has full energy.

Afternoon — When they start flagging, head back to the hotel: nap, swim, or just quiet room time.

Evening — Once everyone’s recovered, go back and keep enjoying the park.

This is honestly my favorite part of staying here — with a young child, you never have to make the “should we leave because she’s tired” call. You just go back to the hotel.

How We’d Plan a 2-Night Stay

Day 1 — Check in, enjoy the hotel, pool, Kids Lounge, relax.

Day 2 — Early breakfast, early entry into Lotte World, spend most of the day at the park, head back to the hotel.
