We Took Three Families to a Seoul Mountain Resort. Here’s How It Actually Went.
There’s a particular kind of trip that’s harder to plan than it looks.
Not just a family trip. A multi-family trip. Three households, seven adults, one toddler, different sleep schedules, different appetites, and the collective goal of spending quality time together without anyone losing their mind. Getting the accommodation right is everything — too small and people start grating on each other by day two. Too spread out and the whole point of going together disappears.
We stayed at ANTO by Paraspara (formerly Paraspara Seoul Resort), a luxury resort at the foot of Bukhansan National Park, and we got it right.
The Cabin Suite: Three Families, One Space
We booked the Cabin Suite — approximately 900,000 KRW per night, breakfast included — and split it across our three households. The math worked out well. More importantly, the space worked out well.
Three separate bedrooms. Two bathrooms. A large living room that could actually hold seven adults sitting comfortably. A dining area. Kitchen facilities. This isn’t a hotel room stretched to accommodate a family — it’s a genuinely well-designed space for a group.
What made it work was the common area. After a day at the pool, everyone drifted back to the suite, settled into different corners of the living room, and nobody felt crowded. The toddler had floor space to play. The adults had room to breathe. That combination — together but not on top of each other — is harder to find than it sounds, and it’s what made the trip feel like an actual vacation rather than an endurance exercise.
For multi-generational travel or larger family gatherings, the Cabin Suite is significantly better value than booking multiple separate hotel rooms. You also get to actually be together, which is presumably the point.
The Pools
The swimming pool is what our toddler talked about for weeks afterward, which is its own kind of endorsement.
The facilities are clean and well-maintained — the kind of pool area that feels looked after rather than just functional. There’s a shallow children’s pool, genuinely shallow enough that a toddler can play independently without constant intervention, and deep enough to be interesting. Adults can settle into the main pool nearby and still keep an easy eye on what’s happening.
We spent most of our time here. It’s that good.
The Sauna
After the pool, the sauna. This is the adult part of the resort, and it’s worth mentioning specifically because it’s one of those amenities that turns a nice family trip into a proper rest.
Clean, peaceful, well-equipped. The kind of sauna that reminds you what your own body feels like without a toddler attached to it. Highly recommend.
What Else Is Inside the Resort
This is where Paraspara earns its keep as a destination rather than just a place to sleep.
Within the resort grounds: a bakery and deli that’s genuinely good (not just convenient), a Starbucks, a Teddy Bear Museum that kept our daughter occupied for longer than expected, and walking paths through the nature surrounding the property. You don’t need to leave — and on the days we didn’t, we didn’t miss anything.
The setting helps. Bukhansan National Park is right there. The mountain views from the resort are legitimately beautiful, and they’re the kind of backdrop that makes everything feel slightly more like a vacation than it otherwise would.
Breakfast
Included in the rate, and better than the baseline expectation for included hotel breakfast. Korean and Western options both — enough variety that everyone in our group of seven found something they actually wanted to eat, which with mixed tastes across three families is its own small achievement.
Start with breakfast, head to the pool. That was our routine both mornings. It worked.
Who This Resort Is Actually For
Paraspara is genuinely best experienced as a group. The Cabin Suite is designed for it. The pools are more fun with more people. The common areas earn their keep when there’s a family filling them.
If you’re planning a multi-generational trip, a family gathering, a birthday weekend, or just a staycation where the goal is actually being together rather than just near each other — this is the place. It’s also a solid choice if you have a toddler and want somewhere that’s properly set up for young children without sacrificing the adult experience entirely.
It’s thirty minutes from central Seoul by car. It feels much further away than that.
