When you’ve done the aquarium, the children’s museum, and every indoor play café in your neighborhood, it’s time to branch out.
We recently discovered Jungnang Arts Center — and more specifically, their special children’s exhibition Yori Jori: A Sensory Playground You Can Taste with Your Body. Our child visited with their daycare group, and came home still talking about it. That’s usually the clearest sign something was a hit.
What Is Yori Jori?
It’s an interactive, hands-on exhibition built around the theme of food — but not in a “look at this display about nutrition” kind of way. Think giant pizza dough you can top yourself, a cereal bowl-shaped space to run around in, and oversized Korean street food props to play with freely.
The vibe is basically the opposite of the typical “please don’t touch” museum experience. Kids are meant to move, touch, climb, and explore. The name Yori Jori literally means “this way and that” in Korean — and that’s exactly what kids do here.
What We Loved About It

It’s genuinely interactive, not just “kid-friendly.” A lot of exhibitions slap a sticker activity at the end and call it a day. This one is interactive from start to finish. Every section is designed for kids to physically engage with — which means less “stand here and listen” and more actual play.
Kids stay engaged the whole time. The daycare teachers mentioned that the children participated enthusiastically from beginning to end — no small feat for a group of toddlers. Our child spent about an hour there and was still buzzing about it afterward.
It works great for group visits too. This is a solid pick for daycare or kindergarten field trips. The space is set up for groups, the activities are self-directed, and the sensory-based format works well across different ages and attention spans.
Jungnang Arts Center itself is worth bookmarking. This was our first time visiting, and it won’t be our last. The center regularly puts on family-oriented cultural programs and special children’s exhibitions like this one — so it’s not a one-and-done destination. Worth checking their schedule periodically for what’s coming up next.

The Bottom Line
If you’re looking for an indoor activity in Seoul that goes beyond the usual options — something where kids actually do things rather than just look at them — Jungnang Arts Center is worth the trip. The Yori Jori exhibition is exactly the kind of place that earns the “can we go again?” from your kid on the way home.
Bookmark the center’s website and check back for upcoming exhibitions. For families in Seoul, it’s the kind of place that deserves a permanent spot on your list.
